Liturgy Committee

OBJECTIVES;

1.To enhance spiritual growth of christians.

2.To uphold the Catholic Faith and church doctrines in the parish through monitoring liturgical activities in the parish.

MEMBERSHIP;

The Committee is chaired by Liturgical Secretary who is a member of parish Executive Committee.

FUNCTIONS

1.Organising masses within the church eg Sunday mass, daily masses, wedding masses, adoration, requime masses etc.

Supervising catechism classes to ensure christians are prepared well for baptism and confirmation.

3.Monitoring how small christian community programme is being followed and give report to the chaplain and recommend changes where necessary.

4.Organising parish liturgical events eg. Parish Retreats,elders mass, Africam sunday, elders retreat and Parish recollections.

ACHIEVEMENTS IN 2018/2019 LITURGICAL YEAR

3.Managed to organise parish retreat at Divine Mercy shrine in Machakos and Elders retreat at Resurrection garden at Karen.

We have eight active small christian community: St.Francis, St. Michael, St. Ann, St. Catherine, Sts. Perpetua & Felicita, St. Patrick, St. Dominic, and St. Augustine for post graduate students each having families depending on number of SCC members.

5.Succeful sunday and daily masses well prepared as per the catholic liturgy.

We have a strong choir that leads the liturgy very well.
With the help of the non-student community we organised the Servent of God Cardinal Michael Otunga beatification awareness Mass on 20th January 2019. The Main celebrant was His Eminence Cardinal John Njue Archbishop Nairobi Archdiocese.
