KUYCS.
The Kenyatta university catholic community YCS is a catholic liturgical group with a student orientation whose aim is to offer service to God through prayers and commitments to God and to the Church.
KUYCS works towards the following Objectives;
To support effort geared towards transforming the students spiritually, socially thus strengthening their faith, to assist the less fortune members of our society through works of charity. The works of charity herein include but not limited to paying visit to the said group, giving material assistance and carrying out physical household chores, to promote honest, hard work and productivity among members, to help in prays and teach members about the catholic norms during the KUYCS meetings and to enhance unity in our diversity and institution through service to all irrespective of our social, ethnic, geographical and cultural affiliations.
Membership
- Open to all catholic students and non-students in Kenyatta University
- Membership is subjected to payment of non-refundable fee of Ksh.50 on a semester basis, which caters for registration and subscription.
- Membership is out of free will.
- Subject to provision of the constitution, a member may be deprived of full membership or suspended on the grounds that he/she has evidently contravened the universally accepted teaching of the holy Catholic Church, lack of discipline, general misconduct and non-commitment as maybe be reviewed by the executive committee.

Bible shearing committee
Chaired by the vice coordinator Amos G. Fondo, they meet every Monday after YCS main meeting. The committee has the following roles;
Plan on the main bible verse to be sheared during the next meeting and the individuals responsible for that shearing. Plan for spiritual growth of the group and also take up the welfare duties of the group in caring out duties like. Step into help individuals when faced with issues that affect them emotionally, socially, spiritually and even financially, manage welfare financial kitty and follow up of inactive members
Praise and worship committee.
Chaired by the vice MC Lucia Nesekwa, they meet every Monday after YCS main meeting. The committee has the following roles;
Plan on the praising during group meetings. Assist the welfare team in visiting the members of the group more so the sick and those who have bulled back.
The rosary shearing committee
Chaired by the PPC/CJIPC REP Wambua W. Simon they meet every Monday after YCS main meeting. The committee has the following roles;
Plan on rosary prayers, organize for novena prayers of the group, plan on matters facing the CJIPC team and discuss them in details before they are being sheared to the members, they also evaluate the prayer session of the previous meeting.
Evaluation committee
Chaired by the project coordinator Sophie Moraa. The meeting is usually conducted every Monday after YCS meeting. The matters discussed here include, evaluation of the weekly meetings and evaluation of any event that might have taken place within the week, write a report on the weekly meetings and any event during the week, discuss any other projects that can help in the continuation of the group. Committee organize projects both within and outside KU, plan, organize and manage charity works & motivational talks, bashes and fun-days in liaison with the coordinator and keep records of returns from undertaken projects.
KUYCS main Meetings
KUYCS conduct a mandatory weekly meeting during which members participate in various activities on the already circulated programs. The meeting is usually conducted at NDINGI HALL (church compound) every Monday from 6: 30 pm to 8: 00 pm.
