On saturday 15th February 2025, Christ the Teacher chaplaincy held a first ever African weekend at the chaplaincy.

The judges madam Janet Njau and Tr. Bertha did their best to get the best out of the best perfomance

The day started with presentation of traditional dances from the jumuiyas, There was modelling to showcase the different attires worn by the different cultures.
And for the first time, there was showcasing of different foods prepared in the traditional african societies.

The day ended with cake cutting and sharing of a meal that is Githeri with a mixture of potatoes

Then it came to sunday 16th February, The most African cardinal Otunga members were awarded during first mass and the best African students were awarded during second mass.
