CELEBRATING THE SOLEMNITY OF CHRIST THE KING IN STYLE

Fr. Boniface and Fr. Jeremy share a cake to mark 10th anniversary of Fr. Jeremy

Sunday 26th November 2023 we celebrated the last Sunday of the liturgical year. This was the solemnity of Christ the King.  At Christ the teacher chaplaincy we celebrated the day with our catechumens receiving various sacraments.

During the first mass the Chaplain Fr. Boniface and the parishioners witnessed 14 catechumens receiving the First Holy Communion. Fr Boniface urged the catechumens to be faithful to Jesus the King who they have received in the Sacrament of the Eucharist. He asked the parents to make sure that they attended Mass and continue to receive the Eucharist worthily.

During the second mass 13 catechumens who were students of Kenyatta University received the sacrament of Baptism First Holy Communion. The students have been faithful in attending their catechism classes for the last two years.

All these catechumens are expected to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on 14th December at Queen of Apostles Parish in Ruaraka.

We thank Catechist Francis for walking with these members throughout the whole journey of catechesis.

On this day Fr. Jeremy was celebrating 10 years of priestly service.

During the mass. A total of 13 catechumens were baptized.

“The only way a priest can give birth is by baptizing new Christians. I am pleased and thankful to be the father to these children who I have baptized today.” Said Fr. Jeremy who administered the sacrament. We wish Fr. Jeremy blessings and many years of serving the people of God.
