A Semester of Divine Interventions: KUCC’s 2024/2025 1st Semester Recap

The Kenyatta University Catholic Community (KUCC) has wrapped up a remarkable first semester. It was filled with divine interventions and community efforts. Father Bonnie, our chaplain, and the executive team led by Mathenge, guided us.

The semester began with a lively Freshers’ Night. It was a warm welcome for new members. The event was full of music, dance, and inspiring talks, helping freshmen feel at home.

The KUCC Talent Show was a resounding success, showcasing the diverse talents of its members. The event provided a platform for students to shine, with performances ranging from captivating modeling and engaging professional presentations to hilarious comedy actsp and impressive drawings. The stage also witnessed mesmerizing vocal performances, with students showcasing their singing prowess. The talent show fostered a vibrant and supportive atmosphere within the community, celebrating the unique gifts and abilities of each member.

A key moment was the pilgrimage to Kyumbi Shrine. It deepened faith and strengthened bonds among pilgrims. The shrine’s calm setting was perfect for prayer and reflection.

KUCC’s Carols Night brought Christmas spirit to life. It featured beautiful carols, inspiring talks, and a festive vibe. The event united the community in celebrating Christ’s birth.

The Small Christian Communities (SCCs) within KUCC played a big role. They organized events to welcome new members and strengthen bonds. SCCs like St. Catherine of Siena St. Michael the Archangel, St Dominic, St Francis of Assisi and St Perpetua and Felicity SCC did great work to hold the Community firm.

These SCCs hosted Bible studies, prayer meetings, and social events. These activities nourished spirits and built community bonds.

KUCC also focused on academic success. Study groups and support programs helped students do well in school. They kept a strong spiritual foundation.

As the semester ends, KUCC looks to the future with hope. We’re committed to spiritual growth, social justice, and academic excellence. We thank Father Bonnie and the executive team for their hard work.

We also thank all KUCC members for their dedication. May God’s blessings continue to bless our community.
