SERVICE TO GOD IS SERVICE TO HUMANITY. St. Catherine and St. Michael charity work on another level.
INTRODUCTION
On October 26 2024, a joint charity initiative was undertaken by st Michael and st Catherine scc to benefit the children residing at victor’s children home. The event which spanned from 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM, aimed to provide essential supplies, fun activities and social support to the children.
EVALUATION
We were able to do various activities during the charity work. These activities included:
- Cooking
- Washing clothes
- Farming
- Cleaning rooms
- Cleaning the compound
- Splitting firewood
- Baby sitting.
These activities were done by members of both SCC who were distributed to their choice of work. The activities took a span of two to three hours after which we shared a communal meal that was prepared by the members who were cooking. This fostered a sense of community and togetherness. After the meals we had a session of bonding and interaction with the children. We were also able to collect donations from members.
